Bookworm

What good is a stellar outfit on a manequin?  Fix a cup of tea, put on your reading glasses, and join me as I seek to expand my brain along with my closet.  This tab features what I've read, whether it be books or magazines, and may inspire you to pick up the same pages. Let's impress ourselves and the world with the thoughts beneath the threads.

My favorite fashion blogger has a book! Jessica Quirk is a fantastic artist and her drawings of mix and match outfits for every season is fantastic. It's making my mornings that much easier!

I found this magazine at Barnes & Nobles the other day and I am SO EXCITED!  Mingle features tons of high-quality photographs of unique party/entertainment ideas. This is only the second issue and it appears to be published biannually. One thing I cannot wait to do when grad school is done is to start entertaining. I love festive parties so this magazine is going to keep me motivated as I work on my thesis this school year. Cheers!

Everyone at grad school has been talking about this book so I decided to give it a try. It is fascinating! The amount of activity that our brain goes through while playing music or even simply listening to the radio is stunning. The writing is fairly straight-forward and user-friendly for those of us who didn't make As in science class. It does get a bit tedious in certain parts but this just confirms the intricacy of our brains on music.  If you are a musician, this is a must. If you aren't, read it anyway. You will appreciate music that much more.
